Why Word will not always match the PDF
A PDF describes a rendered page; Word rebuilds paragraphs, lines, and sometimes tables. Columns, missing fonts, notes, and scans can therefore move.
For a short visual correction, the PDF editor is often more predictable. For a long rewrite, DOCX becomes useful after review.
Review the converted document
Check headings, tables, accents, page numbers, and line breaks. A scanned PDF needs OCR first, and numbers still need checking.
Do not send a converted DOCX without opening an early page, a dense middle page, and the last page.
Local conversion and output
Preparation and conversion run from the browser session; the PDF is not sent to a remote service to create the DOCX. This avoids an upload queue, while conversion still depends on device resources.
Free adds a watermark; Pro or a one-off clean export produces an unmarked file.
Frequently asked questions
Is DOCX output free?
Document preparation is free and unlimited. DOCX output is included with Pro.
Do my files leave my device?
No. Document processing runs locally in the browser.
Will the DOCX reproduce the exact layout?
The export prioritizes usable content. Complex layouts may need adjustments in Word.
