Sign a PDF. Place your visual signature precisely
Draw or import a visual signature, then place it exactly on the document. Editing and export are free and unlimited. Free adds an “Edited with PDFScene.com” watermark; Pro exports without it.
Steps
- Open PDF Scene and import your document.
- Open the signature library, create your visual signature, and place it on the page.
- Review every change in the preview.
- Open Export to generate the result with Pro.
Visual signature, approval, and eIDAS
A visual signature can suit a quote, internal approval, or document where the parties accept a handwritten mark placed this way. It is stored as a graphic element in the PDF.
It does not create a certificate, identity proof, or qualified eIDAS signature. When an act requires an advanced or qualified signature, use a certified provider and do not present this image as equivalent.
Place a signature without distorting it
Import a transparent PNG when available, or draw in the signature library. Place it in an empty area, check the aspect ratio, and zoom in so it does not cover a date, clause, or amount.
For several pages, reuse the locally saved signature and inspect every placement. Keep the original and signed versions identifiable in your filing system.
What stays local
The PDF and signature library are handled in the browser while you edit. The visual signature is not sent to PDF Scene to be applied.
Free output remains watermarked; Pro or a one-off clean export removes the watermark without changing the legal nature of the signature.
Frequently asked questions
Can I prepare the document for free?
Yes, with no account. Editing and export stay local and free. Free adds a watermark; €2.99 = 1 clean export; Pro = unlimited without watermark.
Do my files leave my device?
No. Document processing runs locally in the browser.
Is this a qualified eIDAS signature?
The feature adds a visual signature or paraph. Documents requiring a qualified electronic signature need a certified provider.
