PDF Scene

Compress a PDF. Make every send easier

Enable compression during PDF export to create a final file that is easier to send. Preparation and export are free. Free adds a watermark; Pro exports without it.

Steps

  1. Import the PDF into PDF Scene.
  2. Review the pages and apply the changes you want.
  3. Open export settings, enable Compression, and export the PDF.
  4. Confirm the compressed PDF output with Pro and save the result.

What makes a PDF large

Photographed pages and high-resolution scans often weigh more than vector text. Repeated images, embedded fonts, and repeated exports can also add size.

Aggressive compression can remove detail a form or invoice needs. Start with the recipient portal’s maximum size.

Measure instead of guessing

Compare before and after, then zoom into small type, stamps, and barcodes. Useful reduction means passing the limit without making the document unusable.

For a dossier with irrelevant pages, deleting or extracting pages may work better than compressing every image.

Processing on the device

Export compression is calculated in your browser. The file is not sent to PDF Scene to be reduced, although large documents can use more memory and time.

Preparation is available on Free; output keeps the Free watermark or can be unmarked with Pro.
