Steps
- Import the PDF into the editor.
- Open the Pages panel to display every thumbnail.
- Import several PDFs, then drag the thumbnails into the order you want.
- Review the result, then export the final PDF (Free watermark, or no watermark with Pro).
Merging is more than stacking files
A useful bundle starts with a deliberate order: cover, form, evidence, and appendices. After importing, review every thumbnail instead of assuming file order is the right document order.
Imported PDFs become one page list. Remove an extra page, duplicate one, or insert a blank separator page when the dossier needs clearer sections.
- Check portrait and landscape orientation.
- Place appendices after the main document.
- Give the final file a name others can understand.
Quality and final file size
Merging does not automatically improve a scan or reduce every image equally. If the dossier is too large for a portal, compare the result with PDF compression.
Open the exported PDF before sending it and check the first page, orientation changes, and image-heavy pages.
Privacy while assembling a dossier
Files are read and assembled in the browser; PDF Scene does not need the binary to be uploaded for the merge. Your device, browser, and any other sync service still deserve their own security checks.
Editing is available without an account. Free adds its watermark to output; a one-off clean export or Pro removes it.
