Rotate a PDF without turning the whole document
Page rotation fixes a sheet shown sideways, upside down, or inside a dossier that mixes portrait and landscape pages. It acts on the whole page, not on objects inside it.
Steps
- Import the PDF and open the Pages panel.
- Find thumbnails whose orientation differs from the rest.
- Use Rotate left or Rotate right on the affected page.
- Check the preview and reopen the PDF before printing or signing.
Page rotation versus rotating an object
The Pages panel turns the entire page, which fixes a phone scan or copier sheet. It does not straighten a tilted photograph placed inside the page.
An annotation, image, or added text is positioned in the displayed page coordinate system. Correct orientation before annotating or signing so those objects do not need to be repositioned.
Files with mixed orientations
A dossier may contain a portrait cover, a landscape table, and sideways scans. Do not force every page into the same direction; use the orientation that makes each sheet readable.
After rotating, check neighboring pages and printed numbers. A good correction makes reading and printing coherent without changing the dossier order.
Check export and print behavior
Open the exported PDF in another reader and check a rotated page, a landscape page, and the final page. Rotation should remain after leaving the editor, not only during the session.
