Delete a PDF page without losing the dossier structure
The page to remove may be blank, outdated, duplicated, or intended for another recipient. Select it in thumbnails, delete it, and review the exported document instead of trusting the preview alone.
Steps
- Import the PDF and open the Pages panel.
- Compare thumbnails with the list of pages that must stay.
- Select one or more pages and choose Delete.
- Check the first page, last page, and pagination before exporting.
Decide what must not leave the file
Before clicking, distinguish an intentional blank page from one created by a break. In an administrative dossier, also check duplicate appendices, drafts, and pages meant for a different reader.
Thumbnails show a page’s position, but a thumbnail cannot always reveal a sensitive detail. Open the relevant page and read it before removing it.
What changes after deletion
The document has fewer pages and the other pages keep their content. A printed reference to page 8 is still a reference to page 8 even when an earlier page has been removed.
Check links, bookmarks, and references in the final PDF. If you only need a focused copy without changing the working dossier, export a selection instead.
One final check before sharing
Close and reopen the exported PDF. Check the cover, the page after the deletion, and the final appendix. For confidential material, actively look for the removed page in the result and in the filename.
Deletion happens in the browser and editor history lets you undo it before export. Free output keeps its watermark; a clean-export credit or Pro removes it.
Frequently asked questions
Can I delete several pages at once?
Yes. Select the pages in the Pages panel, delete them, and check the remaining order.
Are printed page numbers renumbered?
No. Numbers printed in the content are not rewritten automatically. Check references after export.
Can I recover a deleted page?
Yes. Editor history can undo the deletion while the session is still active.
Does the deleted page remain in the exported PDF?
No. It is removed from the exported page list. Open the final file to confirm.
